Its funny you say alternative to SUV. When you're driving it, it makes you feel like you're in an SUV, probably because of the driving position mostly, but its actually very small from the outside, incredibly roomy inside, and handles like my damn camaro! It's got an awesome turning radius, unlike the f-bod, and gives you this strange sense of being in a big car thats really not. Oh yeah, and all state insurance considers it a TRUCK.
