And I agree Melissa... dogs are animals. They will sniff their way out of an open-gated area. There are a couple dogs in my neighborhood that didnt leave a fenced area when someone left a gate open, but it's because they were trained, mature, older dogs... this pup was only a year old and didnt know any better.
