These were the days of the stadiums when they had 78,000 seats, and 500 foot outfields. None of this new sissy crap of 48,000 seats and 360 foot outfields. Really makes Babe Ruth's 714 home runs a lot more impressive. The Giants threw the Yankees out of the Polo Grounds because more fans were showing up for the Yankees than for the Giants in their own stadium, so, the Yankees built their new stadium right across the water there and you could see and hear Yankee Stadium from the Polo Grounds.
