I got a careless driving ticket a few years ago. Went to court for it and the prosecutor was pretty nice about the whole thing. When he called me over he offered to drop the points but raise the fine. They ended up dropping the points and charging me $400. I'd just do what everyone else said, dress nice and be polite. The cop that issued me the ticket was not in court. I heard that there supposed to be there but I didn't see him.
