Trans am has been at dealership since monday night...
Monday night i was getting japanese food and i came out and the car wouldnt start. Put the key in the ignition, turn the key the instrument cluster wouldnt turn, but the radio was on. My headlights worked, put my foot on the clutch to start it, doesnt make a sound and the radio turns off. So i start looking at fuses. I overlooked the instrument cluster fuse, but if a fuse goes any how there has to be a short. Well i was on break for work so i needed to get back.
I had AAA send out a tow truck and pick up the car. that was monday night at 11pm finally when the truck got there. Tuesday afternoon they tell me it was the instrument cluster fuse and send me on my way. The car has a warranty because i got it in july at a dealership. So off i went, drove to the appartment, parked for the night, drove to school weds morning. attempted to start it at lunch break to get food and the same thing was happening. So had AAA once again send a tow truck and bring it to the dealership at 10am. Car was in the shop the rest of weds, all day thurs and friday. They have talked to GM, feel its resistance coming from someone on the instrument cluster panel . So they put a smaller fuse in to see if it would blow for them to know if its the instrument cluster panel. So far after several test drives nothing. ( i hope they been driving my clutch good ) So as it sits now its still at the dealership, they have 8am-4pm tomorrow to work on it, if not this continues until sometime next week.
Its been a pain, my roommate drives me to school but then i have to find a way home. happens ive been talking to a nice kid with a 2001 mustang GT that drives me back.
Im so bored with out the car and being that i have the weekend off of work, without a car.
I hope it doesnt get moved for the pic
