I enjoy the competition when you have to go against other cars in your class and let the judges decide who has the better product. Two years ago I get the Best of Show for New Gen Pontiac's and this year I didn't get enough votes to qualify for 1 of the 75 awards they gave out. Almost every OLD GTO won(1964 to 1970)and a crapload of of old Firebirds/Bonnevilles/Grand Prix etc. I don't take away from these cars getting what they deserve, but if it was judged and you were in a class, then the best JUDGED car usually should win instead of everybody voting for there favorite OLD car. My car is 18 years old now, when does it become OLD? A lot of us put in a crapload of time and effort to present their car in the best possible light, and with the cost of fuel/tolls/traveling time and entrance fee, you would like to come home with something! I hear what you're saying.I've been to many shows and have seen many different kinds of Judgeing. I go to carshows and cruises to hang out and meet other enthusiasts. But I have been to a few shows that are rigged. There's a local cruise that's sponsored by the local GTO club. When you pull in they give you a sheet that you fill out and leave under your wiper for the judges. Everyones sheet gets collected except for the Camaros(4 or 5 of 100)and the GTO club wins 2 or 3 (of 8) trophies every time! ***** happens dude. The only time you'll see fair judging is an all Camaro show, an all Pontiac show, an all Mopar show etc, etc.
