I'm on both Chevy's and Ford's sites right now building 3/4 ton trucks for comparison.

Chevy Dmax / 6spd Allison price - 7,195 / 1,200 = $8,395 total

Ford Pstroke / 5spd Allison price - 6,895 / 1,490 = $8,385 total

Chevy's diesel / trans options only cost $10 more than Fords.

I built 3/4 ton trucks, diesel automatics, 8' bed, reg. cab, 4x4, no options selected besides the diesels....

Chevy = 37,465.00
Ford = 36,430.00

Ford is $1,035 cheaper, but Chevy gives you more for the money (IMO). Dmax has more hp and tq, 6spd allison vs ford's 5spd, chevy has 4 speaker am/fm/cd/mp3 standard with 3 free months of XM (ford has 2 speaker am/fm only), chevy has 1 year of free onstar safe & sound, chevy comes with 3.73 gears standard (ford only a 3.55).
