My junk is a 95 Formula 6 speed inspected on Nov 1 and it passed; it has ~ 55,000 miles. Prior to inspection I used the "Guaranteed to Pass" solution as well as changed the oil. I probably idled 30 minutes waiting to get through the inspection line in Wayne.

Significant Mods are limited Kooks LT and cats, 1.6 crane rockers, K&N Filtercharger and a TTP tune using LT1 Edit

Reading from the inspection report:

NOx standard = 879, reading = 650

HC standard = 117, reading = 54

CO standard = .65, reading = .05

Two years ago prior to engine mods the inspection report reading:

NOx standard = 879, reading = 289

HC standard = 117, reading = 10

CO standard = .65, reading = zero

I think the reason the readings got worse was due to cooler cats. The headers push the cats further from the engine, there are now 2 cats vs. 1 and there is more overall tubing than stock which I assume is decreasing the cat's operating temps.

Your emission problem may also be due to running a cooler thermostat.

Hope this helps
