ive gotten an exhibition of speed ticket in california. the cop was being nice. instead of writing me a ticket for street racing and impounding my car he wrote me a lesser ticket. exhibition of speed as i understand it, i asked the cop when i got it, is a ticket for those with fast cars trying to skirt the law. its for those that like to floor their cars and stop accelerating at the speed limit.
its a vague law but it sounds like theres more to this story. it also doesnt help to have a loud car.
