This product has not been approved by the FDA to treat or prevent any disease or something like that, but as far as supplements go they are not really regulated. If you want to search on a product go to fda.gov and look up the product/company to find out what's going on. If a company is dinged by the FDA a few times for false claims and such, be wary. If it's on the shelves it's approved for human consumption for the most part... but that doesn't mean it's safe. Ephedra and Superdol and some other stuff were pulled because they weren't safe. FWIW, I knew a guy that died from ephedra abuse- so yes, you can really hurt yourself with supplements.
The PP Daily 3s have no ill effects other than that when you first start taking them you will piss flourescent because of the riboflavin, and when you have to piss you will have to RIGHT NOW. But that goes away.
As far as supplements go I'd make sure to only buy from quality brands for the more "edgey" supplements like NOx or Creatine. For vitamins and protien it's not that big a deal if you go cheap, but the more expensive stuff is certainly better quaility.
