Is anyone good with astronomy?

There is this prominent star in the sky tonight (12/7) and I have seen it a week ago and it is back again. When I looked out the window there is the bright glowing one and another less brighter one near it. They are the only visible two. I am just wondering if anyone knows which star it is? I have never seen a star that glows so much and looks like it is moving almost. Not to sound childish or stupid, but it really looks like it is always twinkling and moving in some way. Not moving like a shotting star, but standing still, and twinkling I guess.

I hope its not a meteor. lol. Just kidding.

Thanks for the help if you know.
