I'm not 100% on the GM vehicles, but its pretty common on the 5.0L Fords that once you get some squealing, that the belt/tensioner/idler pulleys are the first things done. Had to redo the ones in my truck at less than 80K....and of course the PS pump for its squeal. Getting about the same timeframe in my van too, and the PS squeals on that whenever its damp out.

Just a suggestion.

Also, on my truck, when I put it on, and the pulley was put on TOO far (too close to pump) when the belt was on, it'd make it squeal too. Alignment was my issue there....
