To backtrack to the cut-out I also did back to back runs when I had my dual cut-outs. The cut-outs closed with Magnaflow exhaust beat the cut-out open by at least 10HP to 3900RPM, then the cut-outs open peaked a whole 2 HP higher. That was also backed up at the track by a loss of .2 and 3 MPH with the cut-outs open Vs closed, and this was on a heads/cam car making over 500 at the flywheel. I think on a pure race car with stupid power you may see a gain but for your set-up just get a good cat-back/Y-pipe and be done.
