Most of the fastest LT1 cars aren't local. There are some fairly quick ones around here, but beyond a few in the 9's and some low 10 second cars, pickings are thin for a quick 8 class for LT1's. A lot of the fastest LT1 guys are up in MI area and in the southwest.
Not that the cars don't exist, just there aren't many in the area.
If you really wanna get this going, get in touch with guys on the Caprice/ImpalaSS and Corvette sites too.
