Bad ground somewhere maybe? It didn't work, then it did, so I'm guessing it grounded itself again. I'd check around and try to find it, you don't want to get stranded on the road cause of that.
Or, worse case, could be the ECM. It happened to my Dakota. I replaced every single ignition related component, only to find out the ECM was done.
