Ron, I don't think anyone is staying these drugs take the place of training. Unless I missed it in this thread I don't think anyone here has said it.
We can debate whether performance enhancing drugs should be banned or not but for now there are certain drugs that are illegal. If a player is caught using them then the punishment should be swift and severe. If a player used them prior to them being added to a banned list then I don't see how a player should get into any trouble.
