Belt just fell off ???
Driving back from playing some pool last night and all of the sudden i lose power steering? I had a new girl in the car with me and the last thing i needed was for something to fail on the car. I only had a few city blocks to go to get back to her place but before i could get to the next light the car dies. Fires right back up and makes it two more lights before i notice my temp rising and then it dies again right outside Finnegan's on spring garden (if your familiar with the city). Had to push the car to a spot and it was too dark to see what had failed and i just wanted to get back to her place if u know what i mean. So we got a cab and i went back to the car this morning.
Some how the belt fell off and thats all that was wrong but i just dont see how the belt would just fall off. drained the battery. The belt is fairly new, has no cracks it it or nothing. Put the belt back on and it seems really tight, got a jump from a very nice guy who noticed the hood up and cables out and drove home just fine.
any ideas how that happened?
