I have the Canton pan on my LT1, but I can't attest to it's performance gain as I just got my motor running. It does appear to be really well made though. The pan metal is of a decent thickness, it doesn't have a cheap look/feel to it. I trust it. With the pan there are no leaks at all. I'm just using it because it came with my motor (I bought the motor complete used and rebuilt it), but if I were going to be road racing I would probably choose that pan. Also, my motor came with a Canton pickup, which appears to be of good construction also. It has a tab on it so it will bolt to the pump, so you won't ever have to worry about it falling out. Theres also a tab welded on for pressing in the pickup. The pan internals also appear to be well thought out and constructed. It looks like it would do a good job at keeping oil around the pickup during hard turns.
