Neither one of our cars have chokes but my motor had two bad cylinders so their was a reason why mine did that and its been 5 months since my car has ran. Yours on the other hand probally could use an adjustment.

I was told from John Mazio(from "Ask Franks") that if the motor is set up right timings good and the carb is good even with out the choke I shouldnt have had such a big problem getting it started in the mornings like I was.

My problem was bad pistons and crappy wires-yours could be carb adjustment or timing you never know because you bought this car set up from someone else you should really go over everything and dial it all in.
