he is not full of hot air. doing big smokey burnouts on street tires is not good for traction. street tires actually get kinda oily when they get that hot. its okay to spin them real quick, maybe 2 seconds, just to get the dirt and stuff off them.

bmx is right about lowering the rear tire pressures and bumping up the fronts. the higher pressure in the front tires leads to lower rolling resistance (same theory as running skinnies up front). not sure what pressure you should lower the rears to though. maybe 26-28 psi?
