By law you are entitled to a second opinion and I believe in New Jersey it is by the physician of your choosing. You will have to check with your insurance what the process is for Dr and specialist visits.
Sorry to tell the professional insurance fraud doctor, but a bruised knee cap clears up in a few weeks. I know because I have done it before.
