I'll say this much: If you are good at following directions and know how to turn a wrench, it's not a bad job. The kit comes with a video that outlines exactly what you need to do from start to finish, it's pretty thorough. I watched it twice before working on the trans, and then used the written directions when I was outside. It's a messy job but if you are willing to take a few hours out of your saturday to read the directions a few times and tear into it, it's worth it.
That said, $200 doesn't sound that bad for a shop to install it either. If you are like me now and don't have any spare time on your hands, that's the route I would go the second time around.
