it does seem like what kirk was saying, a good cam that will make some power, especially with 243 heads, but wont hurt the valve train too much. and have a decent choppy idle as well. definitely get some nice springs...i think ls6 springs would be fine for your application, but go with titanium locks, and the double roller is piece of mind, so you dont wind up having to replace bent valves and repair the heads.
