As Alex said I've been using the Skulte adapters for years on my car and I've never had any problems. I have 2" adapters for my Miglia wheels which Boon had on his 4th gen Z28. I have a 4th gen rear now so I only need them up front.

I also don't understand how people lose a wheel with the adapters because the lug nuts bolting them onto the hub stick out not too far from flush when they are fully torqued. It is impossible for the lug nuts to back off the threads enough to make problems when a wheel is bolted on. It would only fall off if all the studs break.
