It's really hard to come up with a recommendation for what to do. I saw what you're asking for the car, I think it might be a little hard to come up with that by parting it. The best suggestion I can make since money is going to get tight is entertain as many offers for the complete car as possible, and whatever you can get from it you should spring for it. It'll probably be less than what you want, but right now its a buyers market. You could turn around that loss and get a killer deal on something else, and save the difference to help you through your tough time.
