only toss up is looks, i personally love them, i say if you can swing the payments and insurance without having to fudge up your lifestyle, go for it..........

im sure this is already your plan, but why not try to unload the t/a before you leave, and not buy the new one yet, then you will have the money from the bird and the overseas pay when you get home to make a nice large downpayment
