Really? I dunno. I know it's an older starter. I had some trouble with it in the fall. It would click click click if I had started the car recently (i.e. ran into wawa to get something and came out in a flash). If I started the car in the morning, or when leaving work... no problem.

For quite a while, the starter had been very very loud... almost like a funny car starter (if I can remember what that sounds like). After the engine caught and kicked over, the starter would screech if I did not disengage it right away.
