Basic, is simple do what you gotta do BE ON TIME..... dont laugh EVER the drill sergeants are funny as ****, you will never forget basic its gonna be the best time in your life... I've finished it 6 years ago and still have great friensd from there just re-enlisted tax free for 15k in Iraq. Just whatever you do make sure you keep outta fights with the idiots from your platoon. I was a split-ops trainee meaning i went to basic Junior year of HS than after i graduated my Senior year I went for my 6 month AIT as a Bradley Tech. AIT the stress is pushed a little more because you have classes and may still have to deal with push-ups flutter kicks whatnot. But once you finish you shouldn't regret joining. Oh your probably going to get deployed at one point in your life, but dont stress I just came back from IRAQ and especially as a married person your wife will be set, as long as she is willing to stay committed i'm sure she will enjoy the benefits of being part of the system. Most relationships do not last I have had 3 fail each time I left home. Its a sad thing but if she does stay with you than i'm sure she will enjoy the rewards of military benefits once you are both older. Keep your head in the game and as long as you are an easy going person you should be okay.
