I would imagine that it is probably better, if the arm it self is the same or stronger than a UMI etc one. The chassis mounted ones seem to have a weaker mounting setup that the Jegs one IMO. 14 bolts and an entire curved metal plate bolted into the chassis seems stronger than the chassis mount variants. And you can get em adjustable too. So who knows...
