building a bike will probably run you a little over a grand to just under 1500 depending on the frame. complete bikes can be had for significantly less then you can just swap out what you don't like, bars, pedals, whatever, for ones that better fit your riding style. probably save a few bucks that way.

lol, funny you say that, i looked at building one Vs. buying and swapping parts.
i actually decided on a complete bike and will just be changing the bars, and then adding front brakes. i went with the Fit signature park bike, and some 4piece fit bars, diatech fiesta 996 front brakes on a 990 plate. oh and 2 additional pegs. comes to right around 800, and yes i get a free shirt
