Yeah, I like just a clean, uncluttered engine bay - black engine, black wire loom, black hoses, etc. and just a few detail pieces to pop. Kinda stock, but kinda not.

I'm not sure on the angle of the throttle cable if it'll bind when I pass it through there, but next time it's outta the garage I'll have a look - cool idea! And thanks for the suggestion on the looms - I had some of the factory plastic separators there, but they melted. I need to find some high-temp ones by Made-For-You or something.
