LS1's are easier to work on. Almost any big budget shop will discriminate against LT1's and also most shops that post there prices will only post their price to work on a LS1 F-car. A few former sponsors of this site will tell you the same thing. I work with my hands everyday but i'm far from a mechanic and I have done almost everything imaginable on these LS1 cars. I have owned 7 LS1 cars and 5 LT1 cars. The LT1s were usually driven to the shop for some repairs. I even got so frustrated with my very last LT1 car i took it to the stealership to get repaired and i didn't even care about cost. That is something i would never ever do!

from someone who works on all makes and models of cars everyday... nothing is hard to work on once you figure out how they come apart... if you get frustrated that easy then thank god you aren't a mechanic.... might I ask what it was that set you off enough to take it to the dealer??
