further fence lines???? you do realize that the polo grounds was 279 and 258 down the lines. and yankee stadium was 315 on both sides down the line.....small considering that the phillies new stadium is always call short and the shortest it gets is 330. with almost 400 on the left field side.
babe ruth had the luxary of hitting in relatively short parks most of his career. btw babe ruth had a history of drug and alcohol use.....cocaine can be considered a performance enhancer as well
