I checked it out at the dealer (was debating picking up a Sonata, but ended up getting my Vue back, long story) and realized why I think the car won't succeed. The car is no longer Tiburon priced, it is now Mustang, Camaro, and 370z priced. Most people will spring for the bigger name, because people in that market are trying to impress. In the automotive world, we know Hyundai is competitive, but if you ask someone like say my sister, she automatically thinks junk. Even if someone loved the Genesis, it isn't novel any longer, it isn't "cool" like the other three mentioned above with racing heritage, and still carries the stigma. That is why I think it won't continue strong sales. It was still necessary for Hyundai to do to get their name out there in the performance market.
