maybe. The hp curve is flat from 5800-6600

Torque starts falling off at a descent rate by 6400. My motor is an 02 and came with the "best" bottom end of the 4th gen ls1 era. People have spun a purely stock bottom end like my car has( 01-02 ls1) to over 7K and they usually hold up. ARP bolts are probably a must with the way I like to drive though. A little more seat time and fix a few little bugs, then ARP bolts and start spraying it.
