I gotcha man, i mean when it starts to warm up a bit... also try going somewhere away from home to just walk. Like anchorage in seabright to the end of the longbranch boarkwalk and back is 15 miles iirc, thats a good place to walk run when it warms up, there are plenty of places to stop and take a break, plus its not like being right around the corner from your house where you can cut your route short.
