Sounds like a personal problem. T-top or hard top, if the weather stripping is old, it's GOING to leak. My '88 T/A hard top leaked way more than my current '85 T/A t-top does.

Everyone's comparing the speed of a vehicle with 18-28 year old engines to 8-18 year old engines... for the most part, you're going to see an improvement as newer models come out, hands-down (with the exception of LT1's... lol). I left a stock 350 second gen in the dust with my '88... big whoop. Since a majority of forum members drive 4th gens, the 3rd gens are seen as slow, and 2nd and 1st gens are just old classics.

Wait a couple years for a few more 5th gen camaro owners to show up... then you 4th gen owners will be the snails in the group. Us third-gen'ers can go hang with the 2nd and 1st gens

It's all a matter of perception.
