I swear you have the fastest Cherokee around....I've watched 4 different Cherokee's run high 16s (1 = 6inch lift, 33s, but chip/TB/intake/exhaust), and one stock stripper model run a 16.6 in freezing cold weather.
Meanwhile my little old Explorer fully loaded can run 16.7 in cold weather reliably.
