Big Snow Storm Due For Weekend
We will have snow for the weekend: It’s now just a matter of how much and when.

The Weather Authority is looking at the latest forecasting models for the Nor’easter that arrives Friday evening.
There is now a chance for at least 12 inches of snow across many parts of the Fox 29 viewing area.
It is still too early to forecast snowfall accumulation totals, but it is looking more like we will see the massive Nor’easter that is currently over Texas and the Gulf of Mexico.
Even if the storm misses us, we will see snow.
Our December storm brought between 8 inches to the northern suburbs to 24 inches in Philadelphia, with even more in some spots.
The weekend Nor’easter could rivals that storm in some areas.
With any winter storm, especially more than 48 hours away, there still can be uncertainties.
The one question that the models are still split on is the location of the storm when and if it gets “captured” along the coast.
This would make the difference how much snow we will receive. Some models do move the storm a bit quicker and a bit further south, which could end the snow earlier in the day Saturday.
Even if that would happen, we would still have received a significant amount. As of right now the potential of over 12 inches of snow is becoming more likely.
