You can't compare baseball to the other major sports. Only 4 teams used to make the playoffs in baseball, half the teams or more make the playoffs in the other sports. I would take a rebuilding and learning year over an artificial frontrunner any year in any sport.

They also had the best record in the NFC and played the team with the best record in the AFC. And they got in that position because they were a lousy team that got good draft picks and made good trades. Making the playoffs every year puts you in a position where you can't improve and the Eagles showed that. I just don't see how you can be happy with the best winning percentage and no championship. I don't usually root for my teams to come in 2nd place.
