Yeah the fuel gauges are always off, when my tank is full it goes all the way to the skip shift gauge...
On my way back from college (400miles) I had the car stuffed w/ a good amount of weight, filled up to the ceiling from the seats back, and I averaged 28.5 mpg switching cruise on/off.
I did the same trip out there with nothing but myself and a few things and managed 31.x mpg
