if you want to replace it, you have to get a new ebrake cable mount. you can leave the shoe out though, no biggy really. when you step on the ebrake pedal though, it will probably shoot the adjusters out though and bounce around the inside. anyways, you will have to pull that axle out to replace it. while its out, i would get a new backing plate unless its in pristine condition. they are notorious for rusting out along with that bolt braking. any questions about it just post up.
