The bottom line is that He was one of the most fear'd players in the NHL during his prime if not the most fear'd. Just like how Jim Brown was,Shaq was, and how Randy Johnson was. He was fear'd for the way he hit and for what he could do with the puck. He was a household name that pretty much everyone knew. The 3 big offensive players in the NHL back then that I think of were Lindros, Federov, and Jagr.
