sbc 383 - SOLD

SOLD

Decided to sell my engine. My friend and I built it last year and just don't have time for it now. Has 0 passes on it and has only been run for about 1 hour. I've never done the math for the CR but Withers estimated it should be around 10.5:1. Desktop Dyno estimate is ~500 HP and 485 TQ

All Machine work was done by Withers Automotive in Collingswood NJ. They also blueprinted and assembled the bottom end. The block was also clearanced for the 400 crank.

Block
3970010 casting 4 bolt main.
Bored .030 over
Line bored and decked

Chevy Orange POR-15

Bottom End
Eagle 383 street/strip rotating assembly. Externally balanced Kit B13005E

Rods were not used. Replaced them with different 383 Eagle rods for camshaft clearance issues.

Moroso 7qt Oil pan with matching high volume oil pump.

ARP studs

Clevite 77 bearings (rods, mains and cam)

Valvetrain and top end
Comp Xtreme Energy solid roller cam .576/.582 lift 286/292 duration 110 lsa 12-772-8
Comp solid roller lifters 818-16
Comp Hi-Tech push rods
Crane stud Girdles

Holley Aluminum heads 2.02/1.60 68cc
Valves/springs/studs and all other related components were replaced to work with the cam
Valves - Manley 11318-8 and 11877-8
Retainers - 740-16
Springs - 977-16
Locks - 611-16

ARP bolts

Edelbrock Victor Jr intake

Holley 750 DP included with engine

The engine is located in Atco NJ about 5 min from the track. It is in my friends Malibu and can be started and run. Cannot be driven, car has no driveshaft yet. We are working on a driveshaft and may have it to the track in a few weeks.

Will also consider trades (cars, trucks, boats, trailers, just about anything)
