Working as a tire changer this saturday, pro all star series
Several of you may know i moved to NC to go Nascar technical institute which is a branch campus of Universal technical institute. Graduated that Nov 2009 ( which means i have automotive training to work in a dealership), then in january 2010 i started training at PIT performance instruction and training for Pit crew training for a nascar level job. You do have to start out some where before you can make your way up.
Well after 2 years of hard work, finally got asked by word of mouth to work a race this saturday in wilkesboro,nc. Its not the highest level racing series but its alot farther than your average person could ever step into. And im getting payed.
My position is a tire changer, man who uses an air gun to hit lug nuts on and off, at my school we have practiced 14 second stops. Everything is a choregraph positon.
Heres the series racing
