The Prius for Toyota solidified Toyota's place on the top of technology heap. The Volt does this for GM, it is the technological showcase for the company, to show what it has to offer.
It wont be a money maker, and it wont be the the most economical car in GM's line up, but its a flagship.
The Volt drove, for the most part, like a regular car. In sport mode, with the shifter in L, the car accelerates hard, a lot harder then you would expect. We were in pure EV mode, and I was really impressed with the car.
