Who cares? A BBC will out run an LS motor too

There is more to life than 1/4 mile! How would that 396 make out at 7500+ rpm on a road course for hours? What about the SS350? There were 6 cyl SS Chevelles, no? So in the beginning, SS=appearance package, Z28=road race. There weren't even Z28 badges on the 67, it was simply a race package ala 1LE. As with everything, marketers bent things as they wanted later lol.
WBT, do you have 1/4 mile #s on a 396 car vs a Z28? I figure the 396 must be faster in the 1/4 but I'm just curious.
