Bare Kevlar exposed to sunlight - cracks very fast!!
Carbon Fiber w/ resin instead of epoxy exposed to light - yellows, cracks, and fades
Carbon Fiber w/ Epoxy - resists fading, cracking, and yellowing alot more
9 times out of 10, a carbon fiber hood you see, especially on eBay, will have a layer or two of carbon fiber, and the bottom half uses fiberglass. The problem with that is fibre glass adds weight, and they use the resin for both the carbon fiber and fibergalss instead of the proper product which is epoxy. Resin costs a fraction of what epoxy does.
Also resin cracks alot easier then epoxy.
