shocks should never effect ride height, unless they are air shocks.. bc if they do that means they are not doing their job, that means they are too tall and will bottom out..
what kind of suspension do you have on the car now? bc just shocks alone wont make you dead hook, these cars dont have much in weight transfer to the rear with the stock suspension..
if your looking for good hook you need a good set of springs, control arms(preferably with relocation brackets for the rear) a good torque arm, and a good set of tires..
