I dunno. I see this as a bigger statement

Quote:
“The units just won’t work unless they have the authorized NASCAR code,” he said. “It’s impossible to tamper with the units.

“I guess the key areas of bringing a system into such a popular and successful racing series as NASCAR is being able to ensure that the performance is maintained and that the systems are reliable and everything is completely fair and equal for all competitors.”
than this

Mike Messick, chief engine tuner for Roush-Yates Engines, said the change will leave room for team innovation.

“There will be areas that some people will spend more time working on than others,” he said. “It depends on what NASCAR does with the injectors. I believe NASCAR will give us some areas to work in.”
I base this on nascar's innovation past squashing ways in the name of fairness, which itself is a comically absurd statement. Let's be fair, but let's allow 5 car teams. Ya, ok.

Hey, maybe they will move away from a 1967 C10 rear suspension one day.

Feather-light suspension, Konis just couldn't hold. I'm so glad I took a look inside your showroom doors.
